background
An urban designer, architect and planner that wants to unlock the potential of the built environment by introducing innovative, context-led approaches. Focusing on different scales in the built environment, I’m a passionate believer in an integrated, holistic approach where the spatial and social value of a place is put at the forefront of the design. This translates itself to the overarching theme of my final research-led design project for my master’s degree at the UCL Bartlett School of Planning. I’m currently researching the influence of COVID-19 and its assumed correlation with increased vacancy rates on the High Streets in London.
My interest in Urban Design started when studying architecture, where I had the chance to develop a unique perspective on the built environment. The main theme of my Major Design Project for my master’s degree at KULeuven focused on how architecture can influence public space and tackle trends of inequality, address climate change and future-proof designs by reassuring adaptability.
